3. Information handled
Information you provide
- App content and preferences: favourites, game or learning progress, settings, custom themes, cashback rules or card labels, BBQ calculations, prompt text, journal entries, mood or wellness selections, business details, invoices, estimates, client records and similar content you choose to enter.
- Support communications: your email address, message and any information you choose to include when contacting us.
- Purchases: product, entitlement and transaction status needed to activate or restore a purchase. Apple or Google processes payment credentials; we do not receive your full payment-card number.
Information collected automatically when enabled
- Diagnostics and technical data: App version, device and operating-system type, language, coarse network information, crash logs, performance data and error events.
- App activity and analytics: screens or features used, session events, advertising interactions and pseudonymous app or device identifiers. Tracking or personalised advertising is used only where disclosed and where any required permission or consent has been obtained.
- Network data: IP address and request metadata are necessarily processed when an online feature contacts our service or a service provider.
Feature-specific information
- Custom Keyboard Themes: the keyboard processes text on your device so it can enter text in the field you selected. We do not receive, store or transmit your keystrokes, passwords or message content. Theme and layout preferences may be shared locally between the main App and its keyboard extension. A photo selected for a custom background is processed for that feature and is not uploaded by us.
- RoadWise: if you enable a location-based parking feature, the App may access device location to provide that feature. Location permission can be changed in device settings. Location is not used by us for advertising.
- Self-care: journal, mood, meditation and breathing information may reveal sensitive wellness information. It is used only to provide the features you request. Do not enter medical records or information you do not want stored on your device or in a sync service you enable.
- AI Prompts: prompt text or other content is sent to a third-party AI provider only when an AI-powered feature makes that transfer clear and you choose to use it. Do not submit confidential information or personal data about yourself or others.
- Jobdoc: your business details (name, logo, contact details, address, tax ID, payment links) and the clients, line items, invoices and estimates you create are stored on your device and, when iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud database so they sync across your devices. We cannot access that database and do not receive your documents or client records. Jobdoc has no account, analytics or advertising. Choosing a client from Contacts uses the system picker: the App receives only the contact you select and does not get access to your address book. A logo is read only from the photo you pick. Due-date reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. Text you dictate to Siri or Shortcuts to create a document is processed by Apple and, where available, by Apple Intelligence on your device; it is not sent to us. Jobdoc does not process payments: a payment link you add is printed on your documents and your client pays you through that provider. Subscription status is handled by Apple and RevenueCat using an anonymous app user identifier.
- Cash Back (formerly All Cashback): see Cash Back in detail below.
Cash Back in detail
Cash Back helps you choose the card to pay with, logs purchases, and tracks budgets, bills, savings and cashback. It does not ask for your bank login, does not connect to your bank and has no account system.
- Your financial data stays on your device. Cards (name, bank, optional last four digits, reward categories), transactions (amount, merchant, date, category, note), money accounts and balances, budgets, bills, goals, saved places, receipt photos, imported files (CSV, OFX, QFX) and items you share into the App are stored in the App’s storage on your iPhone, shared only with the App’s own widgets and extensions. They are protected by iOS data protection and, if you turn it on, an in-App Face ID or passcode lock. We do not receive this data, and it is not sent to analytics, crash reports or any server of ours.
- Usage analytics (Google Firebase Analytics). Event and screen names, coarse values (counts in ranges, results such as “ok” or “failed”) and a few installation properties: plan type, whether you used an earlier version, App Store country, whether Apple Intelligence is available, App version and language. Amounts, merchant names, notes, place names, coordinates, photo content and text read by AI features are never put into analytics events. Names of banks you type yourself are sent as “custom”; preset bank names are sent as they are. Firebase also receives standard technical data: an app-instance identifier, device model, operating-system version, language, time zone and an approximate location derived from the IP address. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- Crash reports (Google Firebase Crashlytics). If the App crashes, a technical report (stack trace, device model, operating-system version, memory state) and an installation identifier are sent to Google. Reports do not include your database content.
- Push notifications. To deliver announcements, the App registers a device token with Apple and Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging), subscribes to a general announcements topic, and sends the token with the device’s vendor identifier (an iOS value shared by apps from the same developer on your device) to our notification server. The token contains no financial data. You can switch notifications off in iOS Settings.
- Remote settings (Firebase Remote Config). The App downloads feature switches and updates to the card reward catalog. Firebase receives standard technical data; your financial data is not sent.
- Location (only if you allow it). While the Pay screen is open, the App asks Apple Maps for stores within about 150 m (about 5 km for a nearby search). Your coordinates go to Apple for that request under Apple’s privacy policy; we do not receive them. The last detected store is cached on your device for 10 minutes. Saved places are stored on your device. Optional arrival alerts (“Always” permission) let iOS watch up to 20 saved places on your device; your location history is not collected or sent to us. You can change the permission in iOS Settings and use “Forget All Places” in the App.
- Camera, photos, sharing and import. The camera scans store signs, card rewards pages and receipts; text is recognised on your iPhone with Apple’s Vision framework. Picking a photo uses the system picker, which gives the App only the photo you choose. Content you share or import is processed on your iPhone; the share extension does not access the internet.
- Apple Intelligence, Siri and Shortcuts. Reading receipts and alerts, categorisation, summaries and “Ask Cash Back” use Apple’s on-device model. The text and answers stay on your iPhone; only a result label (for example “ok” or “fallback”) may be counted in analytics. Shortcuts automations (such as Apple Pay or bank text alerts), Siri, widgets and Control Center items run on your device through iOS.
- Notifications and reminders for bills, budgets, rotating-category deadlines, trial endings, summaries and arrival alerts are scheduled locally on your device.
- Purchases. Apple processes payments for Cash Back Plus and tells the App whether a subscription is active; a local copy of that status lets the App and widgets work offline.
- Russian-language offers section. In the Russian version, the App may load a list of partner offers from a server set in Remote Config and show images from the internet. Loading an image or opening a partner link reveals your IP address to that site. Taps on an offer are counted by the offer’s ID only.
- Your choices. Settings → Privacy & Data: “Share Analytics” turns off Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for the installation; “Export All Data” exports everything as CSV and photos; “Delete All Data” erases your cards, transactions, accounts, budgets, bills, goals, places, attachments and imports and resets the installation’s analytics data. Export and deletion are always free, and cancelling Plus never deletes data. To delete the push-token record on our notification server, email us; it is otherwise kept until the token is replaced.
4. Why we use information
We use information to provide and personalise requested features; save settings and progress; process and restore entitlements; operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Apps; provide support; prevent fraud and abuse; measure advertising where an App contains ads; and comply with legal obligations.
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or similar law applies, the legal basis is performance of our agreement for requested App features and purchases; our legitimate interests in security, support and product improvement; consent for permissions, optional sensitive features, personalised advertising or third-party AI transfers where required; and compliance with law. You may withdraw consent through the App, device settings, platform privacy controls or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
5. Local storage and cloud sync
Many preferences and user-created items are stored locally on your device and are not received by us. Apps that sync through iCloud, such as Jobdoc, store that data in your own private iCloud database under Apple’s terms; we do not have access to it. Deleting an App normally deletes its local data, subject to device backups. If you enable an operating-system backup or cloud-sync feature, the platform provider may process that data under its own terms. You can manage backup and cloud settings through your Apple or Google account.
6. Service providers and disclosure
Depending on the App and enabled features, information may be processed by:
- Apple App Store or Google Play for distribution, purchases, subscriptions, refunds and platform services;
- subscription and entitlement infrastructure, such as RevenueCat, where integrated;
- analytics, crash-reporting, advertising and consent-management providers disclosed by the relevant App and its store privacy label;
- cloud hosting, support and AI providers only to deliver the feature you request;
- authorities or professional advisers where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse or establish legal claims; and
- a successor in a merger, reorganisation or transfer of the relevant App, subject to this Policy or advance notice of materially different practices.
We require providers acting for us to protect data and use it only for the contracted purpose. Their independent services are also governed by their own privacy terms.
7. Sale, sharing and advertising choices
We do not sell personal data for money. Some Apps may use advertising SDKs, and disclosure of identifiers or activity for targeted advertising can be considered “sharing” or a “sale” under certain privacy laws. Where applicable, you can deny tracking permission, select a non-personalised option in the consent flow, reset or limit your advertising identifier in device settings, or contact us. We do not use keyboard content, journal content, precise location or wellness information for targeted advertising.
8. Retention and deletion
- Local App content remains until you delete it in the App, reset the App or remove the App, subject to device backups.
- Support messages are normally retained for up to 24 months after the request is closed.
- Analytics and diagnostics are retained according to the provider configuration and normally for no more than 24 months.
- Purchase and entitlement records are retained while needed to provide or restore purchases and to meet tax, accounting, fraud-prevention and legal requirements.
- Server-side content, if an App offers an account or sync service, is deleted or de-identified after a valid deletion request, except limited records that law or security requires us to retain. Residual encrypted backups may remain for up to 90 days.
To request deletion of information held by us, email [email protected] with the App name. Data controlled only by Apple, Google or another independent service must be deleted through that service. If an App offers account creation, it will also provide an in-App account-deletion path where required.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know or access, correct, delete or receive a portable copy of personal data; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and appeal or complain to a privacy regulator. You may also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right. California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information handled and opt out of sale or sharing where applicable.
Submit a request to [email protected]. We may verify the request and your relationship to the App. An authorised agent must provide proof of authority. We aim to respond within the period required by applicable law.
10. Children
App Store age ratings describe content suitability; they do not mean that the Apps are directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data online from children under 13, or under the higher minimum age set by local law, without verifiable parental authorisation. Children should use the Apps with a parent or guardian where required. If you believe a child provided personal data to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
11. International transfers and security
Providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use recognised safeguards for international transfers. We apply reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures appropriate to the data and service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy as the Apps, providers or law change. We will change the date above and, where required, give additional notice or request consent. Material changes apply prospectively.
